Reward a student for good work, or note a problem in class, with a point. The point belongs to the lesson and is saved together with attendance.
Before you start
- Sign in as “Teacher”. Your center must use behavior points: the founder's setting “Who studies here” must be “Kids” or “Teens”, not “Adults”.
- The lesson must have started, and the student must be present or late.
Steps
- Open “Attendance” and find the lesson's column. Press the student's cell until it shows present or late.
- Open the points window. Right-click the cell. On a phone, press and hold it. With the keyboard, focus the cell and press plus. On a lesson's roll call, press the plus or minus beside the student's name.
- Choose the reason on the “Positive” or “Negative” tab. It joins the list “To save”; press it there to remove it. You can add several points.
- If the reason is not in the list, set the points under “Custom points”, type a name and press “Give”. A note is optional.
- Close the window. The cell shows the points with a dot until you save.
- Press “Save”. Attendance and points are saved together.
Result
The cell shows the day's points as a star with a number. The student and the parents get a notification.
If something looks different
- Nothing opens on a right-click: the student is not marked present or late, or the lesson has not started or is cancelled.
- There is no “Behavior” page and the cells show no points: the center is set to “Adults”.
- A saved point has no button to remove it. Check the list “To save” before you press “Save”.
