Mark who came to your lesson, who was late and who was absent. The parents of an absent student are told. This is for teachers; the founder can do it too.
Before you start
- Sign in as “Teacher”. You mark the groups you teach.
- The lesson must have started. Before its start time the buttons are locked, and a cancelled lesson cannot be marked.
Steps
- Open “Dashboard”. The lesson that has started is under “Lesson in progress”. On a phone, open “Today” instead.
- On the lesson card, press “Take attendance”. The page lists every student of the group.
- Press “Everyone present”. Every student who has no mark yet becomes present. “Undo” takes it back until you save.
- Fix the exceptions. Press “Late” for a student who came late and “Absent” for one who did not come. When the reason is known, press “Excused”.
- Check the counter at the bottom. It shows how many students have a mark.
- Press “Save”. Until you do, nothing is stored. When the page says “All saved”, you are done.
Result
Every mark is saved and the lesson counts as held. Each parent of an absent student gets a notification in the app.
If something looks different
- The buttons are grey and the page says when the lesson opens: it has not started yet. Come back at its start time.
- To change a mark later, open the lesson again, press the new status and press “Save”.
- Your lesson is not on the “Dashboard”: it may be cancelled, or it belongs to another teacher's group.
