Enrol a student in a group and set their fee

Add a registered student to a group, give them a monthly fee of their own, and add a percentage discount with its reason.

A student who is already registered can join more groups. You can set a price of their own and a discount in the same step.

Before you start

  • Sign in as “Reception”.
  • The student is registered and the group exists. The list offers only groups the student is not in yet.

Steps

  1. Open “Students” and click the student's name.
  2. Scroll to “Groups & subscriptions”. It lists the student's groups, with the monthly fee of each.
  3. In “Add to group”, choose the group. A box with the fee and the discount appears.
  4. Look at “Monthly fee for this student”. It holds the group's fee. Leave it, or type another amount that only this student pays.
  5. For a discount, type a percentage in “Discount” and write the reason in “Discount reason”. The reason shows on the subscription and on the receipt.
  6. Press “Add”.

Result

The group is in the student's list with its fee. With a discount you see the full fee crossed out, and the percentage beside the new fee. When the group has a fee, the student appears under “Payments due” on the day they join.

If something looks different

  • If there is no “Add to group” list, the student is already in every group that is running.
  • A group with no fee never counts as late. Type a fee in “Monthly fee for this student”, or set one on the group.
  • To change a fee or a discount later, open “Subscriptions” in “Finance” and use “Set fee” or “Set discount” on the row.
