Pay a member of staff and give them a payslip. The base pay is only the amount the payment form fills in for you. The payment itself is an expense in Finance. The founder can do this too.
Before you start
- Sign in as “Accountant”.
- Know who is paid and how much a month. You cannot set your own base pay or record a payment to yourself: ask the founder.
Steps
- On “Dashboard”, the card “Salaries to pay” shows who is still owed pay this month. Press “Salary” on the card, or open “Salary” in the menu.
- In the table “Payroll”, type the monthly amount in “Base salary” on the person's row and press “Set”.
- On the person's row, press the link that begins with Pay and shows the amount still owed this month, for example Pay 600.00 ₼. Finance opens with “Expenses”, the category “Salary”, the person and the amount already filled in. You can change the amount.
- Press “Record transaction”. The person gets a notification.
- Go back to “Salary”. On the person's row, press the print icon (“Print / download payslip”). On the payslip, press “Print / PDF” to print it or save it as a file.
Result
The payment is in the Finance list as an expense, and the column “This month” shows it. Once a person's whole base pay is paid, they leave the card “Salaries to pay” on the home page.
If something looks different
- If your own row has no “Set” button, that is intended: an accountant cannot set their own base pay.
- If the table “Payroll” and the card are missing, your access is limited to some branches. Pay is then kept by the founder.
- The Pay link shows only while something is still owed this month. For a different person, a bonus or an amount of your own, press “Record payment in Finance” above the table: Finance opens on “Expenses” with the category “Salary”, and you choose the person and type the amount.
- The print icon appears on a row only after a payment this month.
